Setting up a custom hat consultation
In-Person Consultation
Set up a one-on-one appointment with one of our Hat Shoppe Designers to take you through a personalized hat decorating experience. Join us at the Hat Shoppe and try on different hat bases, view the large variety of ribbons, veiling, horsehair, feathers, flowers, and other trims. Then based on the details of your hat design that was discussed, we will put it all together for you. You pick it up when it is finished!
Consultations are a private, 1on1 appointment with one of our Hat Designers and lasts 30 minutes. Custom hats have a 7 day turnaround time. If you need it sooner, there is a $100 rush fee.
There is a $0 fee for the consultation if you move forward with a hat. 100% payment is required to move forward with your custom hat and payment information will be taken when your appointment concludes. If you would like to meet with a Designer to get their professional opinion and YOU finish the hat yourself, there is a $50 fee.
Decorating Fees:
1-5 Embellishments - $125
6-10 Embellishments - $150
11+ Embellishments - $175
The price of the hat is additional. Other fees may apply if changes are made once the hat has begun production. All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges.

Are you out of town, or unable to come in person to The Hat Shoppe? We would be happy to schedule a virtual consultation with you through Zoom. We will walk you through the different hat and fascinator styles, along with the many embellishments we offer to create a stunning, one of a kind hat just for you. We can then ship it to you or you can pick it up at our Louisville location when you get to town.
